Using Slander to Avoid Repentance | Pastor Irving Rivera
Reprimand those leaders who sin. Do it in front of everyone so that the other leaders will also be afraid.
-1 Timothy 5:20
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.
I met with Irving Rivera personally, to let him know that he had to stop his destructive behavior as the pastor of Fordham Manor Church. His actions were seriously hurting children, families and new believers and he was not setting a moral or ethical example.
He had just been officially asked to step down from his Senior Pastor position at Fordham Manor. Joe Hernandez had his eye on Irving’s position for years and now was his opportunity to strike. Because Irving had been helpful to me in the past I told him I would help him and support him to get through the situation. I told him that Joe Hernandez was not the right person to replace him. I also made it clear that I was an evangelist and had no interest or calling to make a bid for his position. My only reason for getting involved was to do the work of an evangelist and help a brother back to repentance. [pullquote-left] To put it plainly, Fordham, has no “manners.” [/pullquote-left] I warned him that if he chose to continue in this behavior I would have no choice than to expose his actions and consequences of those actions publicly. Judging by the present fruit of Fordham Manor and the present lack of devotion to God and the scriptures it is clear that I was right. Fordham Manor Church is much worse than it was back in 2011. It’s current leadership consists of blatant adulterers, unrepentant murders, unreformed drug dealers and pedophiles. To put it plainly, Fordham, has no “Manners.”
He agreed to stop and acknowledged his guilt. He allowed me to stay in touch with him to follow up with him to assist him and ensure that he got on the right track.
Two days later when Jurema Laboy used deception to mislead the Town of Goshen Police, Irving Rivera spoke with Police Officer Stanley C. Lupinski and misled P.O. Lupinski to believe that I was troubled and that he was concerned. He did this to aid Jurema Laboy Padilla in preventing me from exposing their crimes and immoral behavior. The only reason a Christian pastor would give a statement to a law enforcement official about another Christian is to legally punish that person. If Irving Rivera believed a crime was committed and he was a witness to that crime then he should have reported it at that point in time. All he did was give a false testimony after he had just misled me into believing he was open to maintaining accountability with me.
Irving Rivera then began slandering me in Fordham Manor Church intentionally misleading people to believe that I had a mental illness. Before long I received a phone call from someone 1500 miles away informing me that the story being spread in Fordham Manor Church was that my dead mother had schizophrenia and so did I. [pullquote-right] “I first showed him that I could no longer respect his leadership when he asked me to revive and lead his “Agape Theater.” I turned him down. I saw in his eyes and by his actions and statements, that to him, this was an opportunity to promote himself and to begin his ridiculous vision of preaching his gospel across the world. I could not do that.” [/pullquote-right]According to Fordham Manor sources, I was not taking my medication. This was an obvious lie because neither I nor my mother ever suffered from schizophrenia. Obviously, the statements that I wasn’t taking my medication were not true because there was no medication to take for an illness I never had. I invite anyone to attempt to submit evidence to the contrary.
All of this and a lot more were done in attempts to discredit the case I presented on behalf of my children. This didn’t just hurt me. It hurt my innocent children. In all of their rage and fear, they tried to destroy me not realizing or caring that they were really hurting my children. All of these actions occurred three months before the first Hodos Pictures website and “Truth Blog” came into existence. In addition, Rivera and Jurema Laboy told people that they went to police first and that I created the websites before they spread their lies. This was to make it look like they were victims.
After years of being asked to step down and stalling, Irving Rivera finally stepped down the week after I posted “The Truth Blog” exposing his years of offenses and immoral behavior. When I posted the blog, I sent out a mass email to Irving Rivera and the leadership at Fordham Manor notifying them all of what I was doing in plain sight for the world to see.
Many people have rebuked Pastor Irving Rivera for his adultery, lying, slander, false teachings, negligence, use of a bodyguard, pride, lack of discipline, repeated reuse of old sermons, foul language, favoritism and many other issues. I can state for a fact that his most common weapon to counter these legitimate rebukes is to slander that person. [pullquote-left] “After years of being asked to step down and stalling, Irving Rivera finally stepped down the week after I posted “The Truth Blog” exposing his years of offenses and immoral behavior. “[/pullquote-left]He is very good at talking his way out of taking responsibility. That is what he does for a living. He talks. That’s it! He has no real skill set. Irving Rivera surrounds himself with weak people who see him as a respectable Christian. This works with fools and the weak. Not with me. There was a time when I respected this man. There was a time when I looked up to him. I quickly saw what he was really about. I first showed him that I could no longer respect his leadership when he asked me to revive and lead his “Agape Theater.” I turned him down. I saw in his eyes and by his actions and statements, that to him, this was an opportunity to promote himself and to begin his ridiculous vision of preaching his gospel across the world and one day, “preaching to Fidel Castro.” I could not do that.
The reason why others have stopped rebuking him is because they resorted to anger, threats, cursing and physical intimidation. They have disqualified themselves. I do not resort to those tactics. I never have as a Christian. I have and will continue to expose this false preacher until God himself deals with this immoral and criminal man.
